Comparing Projective and Objective Methods of Personality Assessments Name Institutional Affiliation Introduction Over the past decades personality tests have been classified into two primary categories; objective personality tests and subjective personality tests (Gregory J. Meyer & John E. Kurtz 2006). There is however an intuitive value to distinguish the dichotomous classification of these tests based on their assumption applicability technical adequacy involving aspects such as reliability and validity as well as their impacts of social and cultural variability on the administration and interpretation of their objective tests. For the sake of this comparison the paper is divided into three sections. The first section explores the objective personality assessment the second explore the projective personality assessment while the third section captures the synthesis conclusion and recommendations of the comparison made in sections one and two. This is organized as follows. Section 1: Objective Personality Assessment Objective personality assessments refer to (Tuulia M. Ortner & Manfred Schmitt 2014). This is because personality measure can be used in measuring personality disorder affecting the assaulted victim such as stress or depression. Therefore based on this reason this is the best objective personality measure that can be used. This personality measure is advantageous because it can give many outcomes from a single test and the results are more reliable and valid. However it has a major limitation in that it cannot be used in non-clinical situations. To improve the validity of the personality assessment therefore it is prudent to use objective personality assessments such as Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory. References Gregory J.
