Name Class Date Sexual Harassment at the Workplace The workplace environment is often demographically mixed to include people of different races ages and sexual orientation. Given this diverse mix of personnel that make up the workforce of an organization it is often difficult to maintain a straight balance in the communications relations and perceptions of each individual. Essentially each person may have their own perceptions and interpretations of different aspects that are present at the workplace. Given that stereotyping discrimination and sexual harassment are the most likely forms of mistreatment to occur in an organizational set-up; the list of people that could potentially be affected is unlimited. With the consideration of sexual harassment at the workplace the forms and ways of violations of the “Tittle VII of the Civil Rights Acts of 1964” are many. Many of these violations often go unnoticed unreported or are under-dealt with. With this to employees the organization and the global economy; sexual harassment affects more than just the affected victims. The effects are also diverse and of varying magnitude. Thus there needs to be serious interventions and pathways to deal with the vice. Currently federal law has provisions for the trial and punishment of such offender; but critics pose that these are not enough.
