St. Philip’s School & Community Center Student Name Institution Professor Course Date Introduction The main aim of this service learning project is to interpret observations and interactions conducted with the service provider agency St Phillip’s School and Community Center in this case. This was carried out through observation and interactions in the Center to gain insights on various aspects involved in the Center’s service provision. According to Thompson (2002) the main aim of professional education in health care and social work is to aid in translate theoretical knowledge to actual practice in the field. This increases professionalism and aids social work educational or healthcare facilities achieve their goals. This translation process is however not effectively carried out necessitating the need for more professionalism in the practice of human services provision. Discussion St Philip’s school and community center found to cater for uniforms bricks and services and has come out to be a burden to struggling or the middle and low-income parents. The recommendations to streamline service provision and relations include; adoption of a proper communication channel to ensure notifications are issued early enough in advance and with clarity. Proper accounting to ensure one time payments or demands to do away with the burdening money requests and opening up more opportunities for volunteers and students to serve and experience the relationship between theoretical and practical implementation of social change through civic engagement.
