Furthermore, associates in the Wal-Mart stores should take time to understand their customers’ needs before offering their help for the following reasons. For one, customers today have several options before deciding to make sales. Again by being proactive for the part of associates, it helps in building relationships with customers that significantly enables securing more sales. Also, for the associates by listening to customer’s needs, they are able to meet their needs efficiently and thereafter retain the existing customers. Moreover, listening to customers’ needs by the associates correlates directly with success in making the sale of the right product. In conclusion, I would make the following recommendation that associates in a Walmart store should adopt to better understand their customers efficiently.
