However, it is not boring if it has a reason and a target. The argument is how do people know if life is worth living or not? Socrates, the founder of the philosophy, states that “the unexamined life is not worth living. ” For one to make life worth living, a person should examine oneself and others in the larger society to find meaning, purpose, and happiness in life. A person should examine oneself every single day to find the purpose of life and eventually live a good and worthy life. As it goes, life is progress. For a person to be human, one should pursue truth and wisdom. One can achieve this by asking themselves about virtue, truth, justice, beauty and many more.

For rates, he chose to die rather than live in exile. Many people saw him a corrupt, atheist and trouble maker. Albert Einstein argues that insanity is doing the same things repeatedly. Without examination, one can allow ugly things to come up in his life. Additionally, without changing, one will be left behind thus becoming hard to find a way out. His life will be full of frustrations, sadness, and hopelessness. A person with no goals has no sense and purpose of life. One can find the meaning of life if he continuously tries to seek. Courage is the ability to sacrifice our needs and for this case prefer to take vegetables instead of meat to suppress hunger. However, the courage part does not always give a person a sense of happiness because sometimes you are forced to do.

Intellect tells one to eat meat because it is the only way to survive. The definition of the soul means that intellect shows people the purpose and meaning of life. Thus, for a person to be happy, one has to examine himself and set his life basing on the rules of intellect. It is no doubt that, every single person globally needs to live in a society with others. Without community, a person will not precisely define oneself. A person who separates himself with the organization is like a wild island middle of an ocean. Additionally, when a person lives alone, one can quickly develop feelings of grandeur. It is hard for such a person to accept suggestions or advice from other people.

A person`s life will not be ideal and bivouac. It will be full of tedium and mediocrity. If a person continuously separates oneself from people, one will lose the peace. For more illustration, allegory cave of Plato, a person who separates himself from others ends up in complete darkness. This man only saw his shadow in the wall. ” However, when a person examines oneself continuously, one will learn from mistakes. Examining oneself gives a personal sense of freedom. One will also know who he is. It becomes easier to take control of one`s life. Additionally, when one examines the society he stays in, it will not just assist him to get knowledge but also alters one`s way. A person becomes satisfied whether one examines his life or not.

The philosophy of Epicurus on happiness consists of three critical things, freedom, companionship and analysis. Companionship means having family and friends. Freedom means the ability to be self-sufficient and free from politics or life. Analysis means having space and time to figure out personal issues. To think and reason are essential to human beings. Examination in life assists people on a personal and spiritual level. A person will not be able to grow towards a maximum understanding of actual nature unless one takes time to reflect and examine one`s life. People who examine their life will end up living an excellent life than individuals who are existing with any contemplation of the alternatives. Additionally, life is worth living when a person learns to examine others to complete the purpose of life.
