The advantages of using performance based assessment include the ability pf educators to directly assess and observe the learning process of students. For example in a classroom, during an assessment a teacher is able to observe the abilities of the students to differently complete the tasks given to them using the knowledge gained. Teachers are able to use the direct observational method to easily gather measurements on the knowledge gained by students and their abilities in its application. Also, the scale enables a structural alignment that is good, which means that educators are able to assess the abilities of students in terms of what they have been taught in class. For example, a teacher is able to analyze through the scale, the abilities of different students on per the abilities they have in different areas of study.
