Problem of parents doing assignment for the child

The child has been given the assignment as a personal assignment, therefore, the parent is not supposed to work out the assignment. Personal assignment means that the child is supposed to work on a given work alone without the help from external sources. Doing the assignment for the child is not the right choice that the parent should take. The parent is supposed to let the child work out the assignment with the capability that the child has. This is because the work assigned to the child cannot be of great aptitude beyond the child capability (Baker, 2017). Doing the assignment for the child tells the child that he is not equal to the task given to him. This lowers the child attitude and also the capability to work on different work assigned to him.

The parent should let the child work for himself to build the child self-confidence in doing various work. Children who pursue their own goals are more easily to meet them than those who depend on the already done work. This is because the child will be focused on what he or she is doing as he targets to be the best in the presentation of the work. The child will work with no expectancy of help from the external sources such as parents or friends thus giving the required attention to the project. This will help the child archive the best in the project and also extend the capabilities to other subjects. As the child works independently, he will be able to develop skills on how to follow instructions.

To come up with the best project, one must follow all the required steps, thus the child working to achieve the best in the project, he or she will ensure that there is desired attention required. Analyzing the solutions There several pro and cons involved in the possible solutions that can be offered. This is because allowing the child to work alone as a lot of positive impact on the child. Working alone boosts the child’s creativity, making the child to work towards his or her goal (Hesse 2015). The child will also be able to identify the mistake done on the current project and be able to correct it next time. The child will also build up self-confidence and also believe that he can work out any task assigned to him.
