Asian Americans in American Media Name Institution Instructor Date Asian Americans in American Media Introduction Asian Americans are among the minority group in the American society; they comprise 5.6% of the United States population. As a result they have been vulnerable to different problems especially those that are essential to sustain their survival in the country (Chou & Feagin 2015). One of the controversial topics is the relationship between the Asian Americans and the media which involves the representation of the Asian Americans in the American society (Ono & Pham 2009). Asian American in the American media also represents the challenges and the responses that have been associated with the group identity and the perception of their role in the future of the American media (Deebrah 2016). This research paper focusses on race in media and particularly as seen in the Asian Americans identity and their representation in the that the topic has on the American society as well as what can be done to address the issues. In my opinion I think that the American media needs reforms to ensure that the aspects that are associated with a particular society are based on truthfulness and represent the ethnic group with honesty.
