It ignored the traditional perception of diseases i. e. associated to social factors such as curses or punishments by God or gods. First policies introduced were need to record patients’ information and physician’s specialization on particular illnesses. Description of positions (opinions) on the issue The first position is that the technology aimed at promoting health on all living things. The sources are traditional society beliefs on causes and healing practices of diseases through involvement of supernatural being whereas contemporary technology claims that individuals are in charge of the causes of their diseases and healing. Both claims are valid because they have records where traditional beliefs are recorded in the scripture marking their validity. Conclusion From the research, I understood the origin of the biomedical technology and the impacts it has on the society.
