The major elements of the Sermon on the Mount include beatitudes and the Lord’s Prayer which all together constitutes the Christian discipleship. The purpose of this essay is to discuss Jesus’ vision of “the Good life”, the difference between His vision of “good life” from His cultures answer, Jesus view about the acquisition of “good life”, other peoples arguments about whether Jesus was a good person as well as demonstrating how some of the ethical teachings of the sermon on the mount differ from cultural understanding of an aspect of “the good person” based on peter kreeft’s book (Lloyd-Jones, 22). Jesus’ vision of “the good life. ” According to theology studies “good life” refers to the vision of well-being that one should create or embrace.

Jesus in His miraculous teaching on the Sermon on the Mount mentions some of the main examples and breakthrough that are the gateway to God’s kingdom at the present time (Welch, 14). It is true according to Jesus teachings that the way of acquiring good life was different from His culture’s answer. This was demonstrated when Jesus “gave himself up” for the church in accordance to (Ephesians 5:25). Before this, early Christians believed in strong-group approach which is grounded in the nature of the Trinity (Welche, 5-6). Who is a good person based on the Sermon on the Mount? ” The statement not only defines His divine origin but also his expectations of a good person. ” Therefore, according to Luke to be a good person you must love God and others through a work of faith in the Holy Spirit (McKnight & scot, 20). According to Jesus culture’s answer as long as one leads a somewhat good life he or she shall enter in God’s kingdom. Next is that all bad people will get punished. Ethical teachings drawn from an example and how it differs from populations culture’s understanding of “the goodness of life” According to the ethics commands on the Sermon on the Mount as it relates to perfection or holiness. The early Christian argued that Jesus spoke to all people but it was difficult for one to meet His expectations.
