Students Name Instructor Course Date Functions of the Federal Government Institutions The American Federal government has got four institutions namely the Executive Legislature Judiciary as well as the other interest groups. Al these institutions have distinct functions which help in the smooth running of the government. First the executive branch; all powers of this institution are vested on the president. The president and the vice president are elected by Americans citizens who have attained 18 years and above through a proper voting exercise. The president main function is to act as the head of state military commander in chief as well as defends the constitution. On the other hand the vice president takes the opportunity to rank as the second most senior official after the president. He is allowed to vote in the senate and may act as president upon death resignation or removal (Wilson n.d) Secondly the United a representative of the paper. Therefore I have the role to find ways on how I may also present the people at the senate governor or if possible as the president of the nation. Through the provision of the common ground that the American government have always provided I feel I may have the capacity to represent my people at the senate. This trend will be followed closely until I manage to be the American president. As a political activist I believe that this trend will be possible through hard work dedication patience.
