Gods love and grace in the book of Genesis
Document Type:Coursework
Subject Area:Religion
Abraham’s calling by God was out of Grace and Love. According to Genesis 12:4, God called Abraham and ordered him to leave his country, relatives and fathers house and go to a place where God will show him and promised him blessings and many descendants. As a result of Abraham’s obedience and faith, God was graciously willing to bless him abundantly. Additionally, God also portrayed his love to Abraham by blessing him with son at their old age with his wife Sarah (Genesis: 21:1). Despite being barren for her entire lifetime God showed his love and grace and blessed Sarah with a son. Abraham’s faith and obedience to God created his close relationship with God. The story of Abraham is used to show how Christians should always obey and have strong faith in God.
