Also persosn with anorexia nervosa strictly limit their feeding patterns and are substantially underweight in comparison to their peers of equal height and age. Moreover, anorexia can be classed into two groups- the binge-eaters and the purgers, and those who restrict their diet. Also, younger patients who are still growing,as well as adults, may develop osteoporosis and thus bone density scans and medication for improving bone health may be used where appropriate. Also guided therapy involving the use of alternate means to cope with negative feelings, the understanding of underlying causal factors , the understanding of factors that trigger the harmful eating habits,making realistic meal plans and monitoring what you are eating (NCCMH,2004). Like in anorexia, cognitive behavioral therapy is used for adults while family therapy is recommended in the context of children. Newer interventions include the use of mobile therapy and internet-based therapy (Ljotsson at al,2007). Their abnormal weight is essential in their developing of life-threatening conditions including stroke, cardiac disease and type 2 diabetes. Like in the treatment of anorexia, people with binge-eating disorder guided help,cognitive behavioral therapy and medication is used (Wilson,2011).
