The Spaniards use it both as a pet and for game hunting. Spaniards believe that these dogs are effective in chasing prey. The owners use Galgos as a system of comparing the person with the better breed, which can easily win in game hunting competitions. Therefore, these dogs are always put under intense exercises to prepare them for high-speed races. Galgos are treated as special commodities and are highly priced compared to other items in the household. Appropriate care is given to Galgos to ensure they are stable enough to carry out their duties. The pictures below demonstrate the relaxed nature of the Galgos and their prowess to run faster on the plain fields. Their characteristic puts them at a better place to catch their prey.
