This allows people to be called depending on the trait they possess. Thus trait is essential since it plays a vital role in both personal life and professional life of a person. In psychology, traits refer to ways in which a person can be described. Trait theories help in identifying and explaining different personality in different people. Thus through trait theory, we can be able to understand different behaviors among different people. According to Allport, these traits are rare in an individual, and they develop later in the life of a person as the person grows up. These traits have essential role in the life of an individual and people with these personalities are often synonymous with these qualities. Their peers always describe them with these qualities as it becomes now part of their life.

Such traits include kindness, narcissism, and Christ-like. Central trait These traits are general characteristics of a person that forms the basic foundation of personality. The superego is located on the conscious mind and attempts to obey the rules of the society and parents. According to psychodynamic theories, experiences of a child are responsible for shaping their future personality. Allport, on the other hand, suggests that varying strength of many traits determine the personality an individual (Matthews, Deary & Whiteman, 2003). He came up with three categories of traits, and that includes Cardiac trait that shapes the personality of an individual, Central trait that is used by others to describe an individual and secondary trait that occurs on circumstances. Additionally, Allport trait theory views the personality of a person to be the combination of internal characteristics that a person has and these characteristics can only be displayed by that person in a given situation.

Even though their id tells them to do something, they are controlled by their superego on whether they are about to do the right thing or the wrong thing. However, for those who are mostly in criminal activities and doing the wrong thing now and then, psychodynamic theory describe them to be unhealthy. Big Five model of personality is one of the best ways of describing the personality of an individual after they have done a test to show their trait. It really on the test is done by an individual on their trait and not what the psychologist thinks about that person. These include openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness and Neuroticism (Allemand, Steiger, & Hill, 2013). These people are typically organized and mindful in details.

They are thoughtful of how their behaviors can affect people who are close to them. People with a high percentage of conscientiousness tend to finish the task they have been given on time and pay attention to every details of instruction. However, those who have a low percentage of conscientiousness are known to procrastinate important task dislike structure and schedules and fail to return thing where they belong. Some people prefer to work their thing later while others are so determined in achieving their goals and tries all that is necessary to enable them to accomplish a given task. It dimension includes attributes such as affection, kindness, and trust (Gosling, Rentfrow, & Swann, 2003). People who have a high percentage of agreeableness tend to help people and feel good when they help, cooperate with most of the people and enjoy when people are happy.
