Building a Prison Name Class Date Prisons are designated correctional centres for wrongdoers (to the level of going against stipulated laws and statutes) and not a place to hold hostage the delinquent (Bosworth 2005). Therefore the correctional centres should make the prisoners instill a sense of change in themselves. Ideally the concept of prison is built upon varied primary motives as discussed in this prisons that are designed for reintegration should have a lesser feel of confinement (Bosworth 2005). Rather it should be a facility of controlled behaviour. Thus a physical design of such a facility would take on a home-oriented design with policies that aim at behaviour change.
