Therefore, as a historical trend, liberalism initially emerged in reaction to the disgusts of religious warfare. However, liberalism sought political organizations as well as doctrines that do not rely on a religious relationship, to act as institutions for a political community and whose tenants that failed with religious truth. Of late, liberal theorists have broadened this original focus. For instance, John Rawl’s political liberalism has required establishing a conception of justice that is appropriate for a community whose residents that differ mostly in term of their moral, religious as well as cultural identities. In addition, the optimistic nature of liberalism is political justice that can be developed in the face of extreme disagreement. However, considering what Blake thought to be right, then this latter idea of democratic practice has more to recommend it also; by ruling out some specific issues, and demanding liberal tenet in particular foundational issues. Hence, liberal Foundationalism can eliminate particular dangers that are inherent in agonistic democracy. Nevertheless, Blake believes that liberal foundationalism will support specific norms of political omission that is inevitable on an agonistic relation of democracy.
