Zhongzi Please and I passed close by his house Comparison

Though both the poem Zhongzi, Please and I passed close by his house are thematically similar such that they speak of the theme of love where two lovers are communicating with their loved ones, the poems contrast in various aspects such as kind of message being passed and the use of other aspects of poetry such as the language, the tone, and the use of imagery. In regards to the similarity between these two poems, they both talk about love. The poets convey a sense of toxic love between two individuals. Similarly, their love, for both poems, is limited by family restrictions. To illustrate, in the poem Zhongzi, Please the character speaks of the barriers that she gets from her parents as well as the threats from her siblings (her brothers) that limits her from fully showing her love.
