Characteristics of Effective Foster Parenting Abstract This study focuses on characteristics of foster parenting. To develop in-depth understanding about the stated topic peer-reviewed journals and a book was used. A blend of different articles was used in this study for providing better understanding to the readers with respect to the previous researches conducted on foster parenting and its effective features. From the annotated bibliography it is clear that foster parenting or out-of-home care is provided to children belonging to different age group. The reason for keeping the children with foster parents rather than their biological parents varies which include providing better environment to children for all around development and protecting them from any kind of harm or abuse.
