According to Clifford Geertz the role of the ethnographer is to analyze and observe a culture by interpreting signs to understand deeper meaning within a context of that particular culture. Therefore it is evident that for one to understand a deeper meaning of a given culture there is need to observe and analyze that particular culture since it will help in understanding and come up with a clear understating part I found to be unclear and this includes the biological effects on culture and how the noted similarities help in understanding culture. The author indicates that culture is related to biological factors although he does not explain further how thus it is unclear on what will one do to solve the physiological effects on culture. This affects culture and the author does not address the issue precisely. Therefore this is the unclear part of the reading that is not well addressed. Work cited Clifford Geertz.
