The policies that the hospital has put in place to address managing emergency triage in the high risk areas of healthcare delivery were also highlighted. Finally he also addressed the strategies that the hospital uses to maintain and monitor its risk management program. The organizations risk management program of Gertrude Hospital according to the interviewee is aimed at supporting the hospitals overall mission and vision. It is designed around mitigating clinical risk and the safety of not just patients but visitors who can include volunteers or business experts or even the employees and it goes as far as catering for the property risks not forgetting the operational and occupational hazards in the hospital set up. Whereas according the interviewee the organizations risk management program of Gertrude Hospital supports the overall safety of all parties mentioned above, I recommend that it be improved upon by adding a clause that states that it is everyone’s responsibility to ensure that patient safety and risk management is adhered to at all time.

I agree with this viewpoint as will definitely reduce the cases of readmission. A major strategy mentioned by the respondent was training physicians and staff on the risk management program of Gertrude Hospital especially because their specific program was unique to the hospital and may not necessarily work elsewhere. Another useful strategy mentioned was provision of guidance and counselling sessions for those in inpatient care(Arena, Marika,537). The hospital also had its strategy monitored by the Institutional Review Board to ensure the efficacy of its implementation and there are also competency assessment tests for staff to ensure mistakes like failing to file expired prescriptions do not occur. According to the respondent Gertrude’s Hospital fosters a just culture that is centered on the best practice of evidence-based diagnosis.
