Student’s Name Professor’s Name Course Date Failed States Failed or weak states are those nations that are incapable of performing basic functions such proper governance providing security and providing education to the citizens. This can be due to reasons such as extreme poverty and violence and other external reasons such as destabilization from other foreign governments. Since September 2001 the perception of failed states from the international community has changed drastically regarding their relations with other governments. The United States and other governments such as German and Canada have emphasized that work together comprehensively towards this and ensure that all the people focus towards the achievement of the progress. Facilitating the development of these failed states both socially economically and politically is not only significant to the states themselves but also to other governments as well.
