History channel beyond the civil war
Even though the war was over, violence continued at least another decade after the Civil War. The KKK, America’s first terrorist organization led these violent attacks. While I knew a basic amount of knowledge on the organization. I was not aware of what took place in Tennessee involving Governor Brownlow (Jordan et al 83). Watching this film also allowed me to learn more about the Freedmen’s Bureau. This is because he had an idea of the unity of the occupants and also a powerful governed country. He was also a commander of a union movement. He personally went into the war and died because he wanted to create confederacy and died after creating a unity with the citizens. So his death was a tragic disaster which led to an unfortunate event, his absence created loopholes in the reconstruction era because if he was alive he would have established up and rise of the war.
