On the other hand these shipment contracts differ in a number of ways. For instance CIF covers fully for all charges whereas the C&F excludes the cost insurance. There is also a difference between FOB and FAS in that under free on board terms there is no indication of the title of the ship whereas in FAS the name of the ship or vessel carrying the goods is indicated.
