Even though there have emerged technologies with better data management functions most companies have remained behind the curve (Mule & Davenport 2017). It is required to be consolidated with known ownership and involves fewer management costs. The data also needs safe storages using the new technologies like cloud storages which store large amounts of data that the company management may face challenges of managing them in hard discs and interconnected computer systems. This paper shall explain how various strategies may meet the above achievements and provide arguments for them. First and foremost the legacy data storage systems should be eliminated. Legacy existing contracts and licenses to recognize unnecessary costs and need for additional licenses. The other method is by software consolidation where the company will require to consolidate the many productivity tools that much perform the same functions.
