Cancer cells do not come into contact with other cells like normal cells. Usually, normal cells are repaired or die in case of damage or when they are worn out, but cancerous cells neither die nor get repaired. Pancreatic cancer is one of the cancer diseases found in the human digestive system. According to "What You Need to Know about Cancer of the Pancreas" (2010), pancreatic cancer develops when cells in the pancreas start to grow in an uncontrollable manner which leads to the formation of a tumor. The cells grow either in the head, body or in pancreas’s tail. Pancreatic cancer tends to develop based on different stages. Stage I is the earliest stage where the cancer is formed inside the pancreas only, and at this stage, it is easy to operate and remove the cancer cells.

At phase II of pancreatic cancer, the cells start to grow into the bile duct, duodenum or tissues around the pancreas. At this stage, a successful operation can also be done to remove the cancer cells depending on the extent to which the cells have grown. Stage III is the third stage where cancer spreads to the spleen, stomach or larger blood vessels near the pancreas. A healthy lifestyle is one of the ways one can embrace to avoid pancreatic cancer by avoiding smoking and use of alcoholic beverages. One can also be involved in cancer research to get more enlightened on the causes, prevention and treatment methods for the cancer disease. Regular screening of the body to identify any cancerous cells growth is essential and will help in fighting against the spread of this deadly disease.
