However, with elapse of time and sprouting of new generations, human character and mode of thinking seem to have changed and embracement of certain life's issues has gradually taken a different order. With civilization, majorly brought about by the development of literacy, different writers have represented women in a different and better manner of praise, bravery, love and general improved "superiority" that can be equaled to or surpassed beyond that of men. This essay seeks to bring out the differences between the way women have been represented in history and in fiction based on Woof's literature, and thereon give the personal point of view as to why the differences are vast in the historical context than in the fictional perspective. To begin with, will be the historical representation of women. (Kamuf & Peggy, 180-195). As far as fiction is concerned, women were and have been represented in a different perspective. In some literary works, Woof's under consideration, women have been portrayed as of equal standards as men, and moreover portraying the important role of woman in bringing cohesiveness to people. The main characters in novels may be women with unique characters and abilities that could not be possessed by every other male character, or more or less be equal to those of men. Women are seen doing great things that, men can also learn from or rely on for their own success. This is so because the historical representation was much rooted in traditions and cultures of the times and the general nature of women perceived as weak beings.
