The parents are believed to be instrumental in the inculcation of the beliefs systems in their children. This not only makes both the teaching and learning process more difficult, but also may propagate a dangerous culture of disbelief and rejection of established facts to further one’s agenda or shield them from any fears that they might harbor. The reason for this report is, therefore, to debunk some of the reasons why people have conspiracy beliefs and tend to hold dear to them even when research and reality prove otherwise. Related theories and beliefs would be explained for further clarification. Explanation and Evaluation Undoubtedly, there are many reasons as to why people believe in conspiracy theories. Generally, people have certain conventional way of thinking or beliefs that appear true but upon much introspection might not be necessarily so. People tend to believe more in their experiences and their personal logical deductions, sometimes at the expense of the truth regardless of the evidence being glaring. For example, people often believe that the bigger the magnitude of an event then the bigger its cause. While such a way of thinking may occasionally be true and may also be logical, the possibility of deviation from the norm exists. In these situations, conspiracy theories are almost always adopted en masse and have the ability to shape the historical, cultural, and political outlook on matters affecting a country (Byford 124). For example, the matter of the 9/11 bombings is generally viewed by the Muslims as a ploy to further the agenda of creating a false façade about the Islamist terrorists and thus economically exploit the nations are home to the accused.

Conspiracy theories are thought to have certain factors that motivate their existence thus enabling them to thrive. For example, the conspiracies are often used as a shield of one’s self esteem from potential damage or inferential interference. This application is common in religious disputes especially those that involve the Jewish community. This lot tends to think of itself as being more enlightened and knowledgeable about the workings of the world than them that operate on mainstream sources of information or knowledge. Recommendations Conspiracy theories have different effects and the impacts are not equivalent in most situations. Some beliefs may be totally harmless, while others might be dangerous to the point of risking human life. While it is clear that the reasons for believing in conspiracies have been brought to light, it would be imperative that recommendations get offered.
