Breast cancer (Example)

Breast cancer Name School Breast cancer is a common serious cancer that commonly occurs among women but can also affect men. The cancer is usually treatable when identified in its early stages (Mersin Kinas Gulben Irkin & Berberoglu 2015). The common symptoms of breast cancer include changes in nipple or breast texture bloody discharge from the breast and lump in the breast. Regular screening is essential for the early identification of the cancer. Questions Some of the questions to engage the patient in when interviewing her would include asking the patient if she has any family history of cancer. Familial history of cancer increases the likelihood of developing cancer and may provide the patient with resilience to face the condition. Another essential question to ask the patient is whether she understands the patient before the beginning of treatment. Nutrition counseling is key as she already has lost weight and appetite. The patient will be counseled of proper diet which she has to adhere to during the treatment. I will also refer her to general counseling to help her through the grieving leading to acceptance of her new diagnosis. References Aschenbrenner D. (2015).
