One of the things that an increase in population puts pressure on is the food production (Aleksejeva. The growth of population results in the shrinking of the amount of land that is left for farming. This is because many people encroach the land and subdivide it into portions that are agricultural infeasible. Biotechnology through the GMOs offers a solution for increased food supply for the rising population. It is important then to look at the topic `Genetic modifying and its necessities. Moreover, genetic engineering could result to a reduction in quality and reduction in nutrition values of the GMOs as a result of inserting genes into animals and plants which could cause the existing genes to react with the inserted one.

Ecological risks have also been argued where the engineering of plants to be disease, drought, and pest resistant could result in affecting the web of life (Eckerstorfer et al. This is due to the fact that this would result in interfering with the natural ecological settings. Others have suggested that genetic modification has a serious implication on our planet`s biodiversity arguing that GMOs upsets the nature. Genetic modifications as a threat to the organic agriculture and are purely about the corporate control of agriculture have been raised. This scholarly work is written in favor of supporting the claim that `genetic modification is beneficial to the modern society and future generations. ` It is intended to show that the GMOs are not/ should not be scary `Frankenfoods` and they are safe and fit for human consumption and are critical in solving both modern and future societal issues.

As the biotechnologist, Josh Arnold Ph. D. clarified the GMOs are tested for safety and allergic possibilities before they are availed to the national and international market. It is also a fact that GMOs use actually reduces the use of the pesticide. Farmers using GMO crops actually use less and less toxic pesticides on their farms contrary to what is believed. GMO crops are engineered to develop a more intrinsic pest and diseases resistance and to compete well with farm weeds. In fact, a study in Germany showed that the adoption of the GM technology has greatly reduced the pesticide use and has increased the farmer's profits as a result of increased farm yields. The GM technology is of great importance in adapting to the changes in the worldwide conditions.

The processes of generating GMO plants that produce edible vaccines. The edible vaccine which is an example of an antigenic protein will be produced by edible parts of a plant and will be absorbed into the bloodstream upon consumption. The antigenic protein will then stimulate the immune system to produce antibodies for which the antigen was gotten from. Those vaccines are most appropriate to the less-developed parts of the world since they are safer, less expensive and painless in the prevention of most tropical diseases. Genetic modification through gene therapy has proved to be very useful in the treatment of diseases that arise from metabolic disorders as well as cancerous diseases. Enzymes used in the laundry as detergents are also genetically modified.

The enzymes have benefited the environment due to cold water washing which has greatly contributed to saving energy. The use of GMOs is with no doubt continuing to contribute to the making of the modern society and the future a safe haven. Most of the ancients technologies that had to prove ineffective in solving some of the human problems are now being replaced with the use of GM technology. While it is important to keep in mind and to continue searching for the possible hazards that the GM technology could actually pose to the humanity, it is important to understand that most of the arguments that are put forth by the proponents of against the use of the GMOs are baseless and misinformed (Rzymski et al.
