Organ donation is a beautiful life giving gift that many people should embrace. There is a very big impact made through one deceased person organ donation. The talk by Dr Chris Barry is geared to inspire many people to sign up for organ donations and thereby save lives. Key Concepts: Organ donation/Transplant- The process of removing a living organ, tissue or cells through consent from the donor/next of kin when alive or dead to a recipient to improve health condition of the recipient (page 22-23). Anatomical gift: A donation of the body or specific body parts upon the death of the donor (page 25). Hospitals should undertake patient education when necessary forms are being filled to increase awareness of importance of anatomical gifting leading to many lives being saved.
