Some institutions make use of technology application systems while others use database management tools in carrying out important functions like inventory management payroll management systems among others. However it is important to note that having the best systems ensures the company that utilizes these applications benefits from the investment in information technology. This paper looks at the advantages and disadvantages of using various mechanisms for the implementation of information systems at the International Machine and Tool Company (IMT). The aim is to analyze the four options presented to the management for consideration as pertains to implementation of the IS system and to decide on the best one for the firm. Ability of staff to handle the options From Browning’s findings it is evident that the their software licenses that are easy to obtain and use (Castillo 2016). Best option From the discussion the most viable option is the “wait and see” option. It is because the system would need a thorough analysis before any recommendation is made for any form of adjustment. The waiting process will entail coming up with internal control measures to check for any maintenance issues in a proactive manner and the result of the long wait will be system that is best suited for the required functionalities. In addition this approach will prevent the organization from carrying out frequent costly updates that are not beneficial to the organization.
