Key Ideas in the Literature Review. The information used in this article was gathered through an interview technique that focused on the knowledge and experience of the author and respondent, Gregg Henriques, on mental health and college. Findings Henriques concludes that the C. A. L. M model is effective for improving mental health for a broader scope of the population even beyond the college setting. The audience can tell that Henrique is conveying credible and realistic knowledge about college life. Perhaps through experience and continued interaction with college students, the author is able to recognize that some of the vital factors affecting mental health among college students include poor academic performance, a fear of failing in their studies, guilt and stress brought about by risky sexual behavior , substance abuse including the fact that many students drink excessive amounts of alcohol and other factors including poor sleep attributed to reading late into the night and eating high-caloric foods and living a largely indoor life that is devoid of interaction with nature are significant to the high prevalence of mental health issues among college health students.
