Psychological and Behavioral Factors in Terrorism Disparities Student’s Name Institutional Affiliation Psychological and Behavioral Factors in Terrorism Terrorism continues to be one of the most traumatizing events affecting different countries around the world. The determination of the various elements likely to influence an individual in taking part in such activities requires an adequate understanding of some of the behavioral and psychological factors involved. The psychological studies available today on terrorism have mostly been influenced by opinions and theoretical findings as opposed to the use of factual science. Different psychologists have however begun to come up with logical conclusions attempting to explain the concept behind it. Researchers have found the necessity of viewing terrorist activities regarding group dynamics or political driving forces instead of an individual event. This means that when assessing the factors that are likely to lead to the involvement of an individual in activities such as suicide With Disengaging From Terrorism. To better understand how best terrorists are likely to disengage one may choose to first distinguish between ideological De-radicalization and behavioral De-radicalization. Behavioral De-radicalization involves a state where an individual decides to abandon the use of violence within a terrorist organization without necessarily having to turn against or reject the ideologies that have been presented. Ideological De-radicalization further involves a scenario where an individual decides to ultimately abandon the various beliefs and violent acts that a terror group usually is involved in. In most cases terrorists often tend to disengage from terrorist groups in search of persona deliberation or merely as a result of opinion dissimilarities. References BIBLIOGRAPHY Porcelli P. &.
