With the current costs to attend a college and with the dynamic job market, it is easier to suppose that college is not worth it. However, a lot of people in the society view college education as life time investment that will eventually pay off in future. College education is worth its price because it places graduates at a better position economically than their none-graduates counterparts. Ironically, those who fuel the narrative “college is not worth it” are graduate experts and journalist who are obsessed about the best colleges to take their children. According to Leonhardt (2014), “the decision not to attend college for fear that it’s a bad deal is among the most economically irrational decision anybody could make in 2014”. In support of this view, it’s a “Harmful Rhetoric” by journalists who never debate whether their children should go to college or not? (Hemesath, p. (p. 1), 75 % says that college is too expensive for most Americans to afford; nevertheless, an overwhelmingly majority i. e. 86 % of the college graduates claim that it is a good investment for them.

Styles was able to open up her opportunities and acquired a better paying job with which she was able to manage her loan debt. Just as Green claims, college education opens up opportunities, to maximize personal and professional endeavors as well as perspective and context.
