The following are the three major components of a decision support systems. The database, this simply works as a normal database by storing all kinds of data that can be useful to the company. The act of collecting, storing, sorting and maintaining data is all done by this component. The information in DSS database can be internal, analyzing how the company is operating or external information for example market trends and sometimes other systems keep personal information like employees’ behaviors. In this database, all information is relevant, unlike other databases. After processing and analyzing data, the user interface displays the results termed as output and it allows the user to choose the output viewing option depending on what suits the user.
