Document 1

It is a speech that given by Malcolm X regarding the position of the twenty-two million enslaves and what the white American should know about their needs (Malcolm). I found the source on google scholar after conducting in-depth research on the material having had prior knowledge about the speech. The speech is a warning to the white American that the fate of the country would be soon sealed just like it happened to other great empires of Babylon, Greeks, and Rome among others. Major European powers had also faced the same fate well illustrated by the loss of their national wealth 19 years after World War Two (Malcolm). Europeans had involved in colonialism which is no difference to slavery according to Malcolm X.

The intended audience is the white Americans who according to Malcolm X were responsible for enslaving the African- Americans (Malcolm). I feel so since the speech is directly mentioning them as the people who the wrath will be targeting. Based on the person’s relationship to this source, what biases might the producer of this source have and why? The producer is biased towards the white Americans. It is clear that he considers them as the main perpetrators of slavery even though other whites involved in the vice (Malcolm). The producer, therefore, is biased towards the white American and the source is written from one point of view where he only seeks to paint the white as very evil as a race who deserves to be punished by the God.
