The first manufacturing company to enter in Kenyan market was Volkswagen which began assembling beetle cars, vans and minibuses however it later collapsed in 1977 due to insufficient market (Eric, 2017). In 1974, Leyland Kenya Limited in collaboration with the Kenyan government and UK-based Leyland started to assemble Nissan Trucks, land rovers Buses and Trailers among others. Aforementioned, Kenya is in the process of developing the rate of unemployment stands at approximately 11. Although many people perceive Kenya to have a high rate of unemployment the fact is that, the majority have ventured into self-employment hence improving the standards of living countrywide. As stated in the Kenyan laws on the approach of importation of cars that not more than 8 years from the date of manufacture, the difference between the date of manufacture and registration should not exceed one year. Additionally, the car must be right-handed in exception of the ambulances and fire engines and must be road worth prevent against carbon emission to enhance environmental conservation.
