Stella Ting-Toomey a professor invented this theory. Ting explained that various ways of managing conflicts can be a portion of maintaining a face in the community. Conflicts in different communities are shaped by the response of cultural variations in society. The theory explains the inspiration for managing a face according to their cultures. The face refers to the identity that is the persona we maintain in the community- a public image. Face negotiation is practically applicable especially in our Christian life where it can be practical in the study of all several interpersonal associations and how is relevant across cultures. For example, individuals face conflict circumstances will differ from free spirit culture and communalist culture. When a regular individual in the United State of America, pursued the reply to a conflict will be self-preserving and controlling.
