The actors also represent differences in social class and as per this class, the difference in gender responsibilities and freedom. We could analyze gender as a central theme in the movie but also as a sub-element in other themes of the movie. Almost all themes surrounding this movie incorporate an element to illuminate more on understanding gender as in the country China (Li, Jing, 2015). To comprehensively understand more on the topic, an intersectional analysis is necessary for the theme and more related factors. Gender is a broad theme bringing about different characteristics and expectations of the actors to portray the understanding of gender (POTTER, 2018). Women have power and a role to play in society even when people see that they are fragile.

This is depicted in the movie by Mulan, who never showed any sign of embarrassment (Young & Amarin, 2016). She was never embarrassed by the other soldiers because she was weak. This indicates that women need to stand firm in society even when they don’t have the ability. They should be confident enough to face any challenge that comes in their way. Her love feelings while at war did not deter her from making her goal. She wanted to fight for her country and ensure that she wins. What is presented in the movie is just an accurate picture of what we are supposed to do. Men and women should be the patriots of their country. Today, all the men and women in China have contributed a lot to the growth and development of the country.

China is one of the superpowers in the world, and it has developed very fast due to the unity of the people. Unity develops where there are peace and love. The achievement of Mulan made many women to be inspired to venture into the fields that were prohibited to them (Wang & Qian, 2019). Mulan comes from a family with a glorious military lineage. Her father, a former commander, was in charge of thousands of soldiers. The ability and determination of Mulan to embrace conventional gender roles give her the courage and overwhelming potential she portrays on the battlefield. Her defined and well-captured qualities are proving enough of her fully embracing traditional gender roles; for instance, she is a filial daughter (Wang & Qian, 2019).
