Order Description:

Express the null hypothesis and the alternative hypothesis in symbolic form: An entomologist writes an article in a scientific journal, which states that fewer than 7 in ten thousand male fireflies are unable to produce light due to a genetic mutation. Use the parameter p, the true proportion of fireflies that can not produce light. A simple random sample of 50 adults is obtained and the red blood cell count of each person is measured (in cells per microliter). The mean of the sample of 5.23 and the standard deviation of the sample is 0.54. Use a significance level of 0.01 to test the assertion of the sample of a population with an average of less than 5.4. Based on the previous situation, calculate the value of the test statistic. 3 .- How to conduct a study correctly? Form the conclusion indicated in non-technical terms. Be sure to face the original assertion: One researcher claims that 62% of voters are in favor of gun control. Assuming that a hypothesis test has been carried out and that the conclusion is to reject the null hypothesis, establish the conclusion in non-technical terms. 4.- A buyer wants to buy the cost of air tickets purchased one day in advance with those purchased 30 days in advance for flights from New York (JFK) to San Francisco by various airlines. Use a 0.01 level of significance to prove the claim that regular flights a day in advance cost more than regular flights 30 days in advance. A computer program is used and it is found that the value of p = 0.0016. What can be affirmed about the sample (dependent or independent) and what can be concluded about the evidence?
