The purpose of this paper is to discuss how social reform in the society has influenced the allocation of funds for the section of the population that is AIDS and HIV positive. Because of social reforms, the society has been made aware of HIV and AIDS. This has, in turn, lead to the elimination of the myths that existed in the community about the condition and also about the people who have HIV and AIDS. Another importance of social reforms is evident since these reforms have led to the development of channels for the allocation of funds from donors. Both institutional and retail donors have given their contributions regarding funding for the population living with HIV and AIDS in different regions of the world.
