Issues that are of importance to women voters today

The women voters will pay a key interest in Paid Family leave (Morelli). Lack of paid family leave in America is of a great challenge to a woman who plans on having a baby. This comes about due to the fact that America does not have a guaranteed paid maternity leave. Consequently, workers who stay home to take care of their new born babies or an aging parent may end up losing their jobs or payment being stopped during the periods they are away (Morelli). A presidential candidate who will promise to pass a law which will guarantee the women family leave therefore will be of importance to the women voters. Women therefore, will need to come together in the coming general election and oppose presidential candidates who will be disrespectful by voting them out.

Women have the democratic responsibility of voting for leaders who will champion for their rights (Ferraira and Gryurko). Women will thus see the need to come together and champion for the women empowerment during their campaigns and encourage their colleagues to vote only for the right candidates. Furthermore, the women voters will share the demeaning sentiments made by politicians against women in the social media such as Facebook, radio stations, TV stations, twitter, and even Instagram (Ferreira and Gryurko). The ultimate reason for doing this will be to ensure that the message about the conduct of a presidential candidate reaches all the voters so that they be able to make the right choice depending on the conducts and policies of the candidate (Ferraira and Gryurko).
