The selection of the museum as our site visit was great since we had been learning about the African and American culture and their relation to our class. At the Museum, we got divided into three groups each assigned their learning objectives. We toured the museum in a different section with a combination of both black and white students. We engaged in dialogues about the naming and the aspects found in the museum in relation to our lives today and how it was in those olden days.
