Cultural affirmation and representation in multicultural literature improve respect for other people cultures. Transnational literature focuses on values of individuals from different countries mostly captured through aspects of migration and religion. Cervantes work revolves around alienation and immigration and, dramatization is among the dominant literary technique in her poems. Value of multicultural study Transnational and multicultural literature provides readers with appropriate content for the understanding of the different cultures in the world. The ability of readers to assimilate information is enhanced while social data is presented in a story. Readers develop an empathetic understanding of others culture (Ratts 48). Readers scope of information about diverse cultural practices broadens strengthening the capability to be engaged in respectful and professional practice. The multicultural analysis in literary texts enhances the reader's ability to incorporate the necessary steps in diverse workplaces including identifying any cultural differences and stereotypical personal beliefs about the client culture.

The intersection of ethics and multicultural studies The increased emphasis on the study of multicultural literature emanates from the acceptance of cultural responsiveness as an ethical guideline for practitioners in psychology and others fields. Importantly, ethical considerations including anatomy and participation by the service recipients call for the understanding of the individuals’ culture (Ratts 29). Cultural affirmation in the multicultural study involves recognizing the present cultural aspects by different societies as great works that have passed the test of time and that deserve respect and recognition. Affirming different cultures promotes acceptance of both the dominant and the minority cultures instead of requiring the minority groups to conform with the values of the majority groups. Cultural affirmation represents all traditions to be having essential aspects that others should emulate or appreciate (Dasenbrock 699).
