For this reason, there need to be more laws passed to make guns harder to get, to educate about guns and gun safety, and in doing so provide the people with a higher sense of security. Gun control policies entail regulations made to control the possession, sale, use by the public, sharing of guns or manufacture of firearms. The frequent incidences of issues of guns in the United States of America make it necessary that more gun control policies should be made. Therefore, implementation of restrictive gun policies will reduce the number of guns in circulation thus reducing the chances of gun misuse. This paper will provide information as to why the USA needs to review its gun policies and enact restrictive gun measures to protect its citizens.

Passing amendments such as obligatory safety features are likely to bring down the number of unintentional gun deaths. Many of the unintentional gun death reports were self-inflicted ("Gun Control - ProCon. org", 2018). Also, many of the gun deaths were caused by a friend, family or relatives. The easy access to guns and more concentrated gun ownership in the US increases the likelihoods of accidental gun deaths. In conclusion, the misuse of guns resulting in mass shootings makes it necessary that the US should review its gun control policies. Restrictive gun control policies can be seen in other developed countries, an aspect that can account for the low cases of gun violence. Therefore, the United States of America deserves more restrictive gun control policies to prevent the number of deaths that can be attributed to careless use of guns.
