Unit 1 Discussion 1 Trends in Human Resources The report of the Society for Human Resource Management while sampling human resource management professionals using the SRHM database shows that there are three major challenges that are faced by businesses which impact the HRM process. The first challenge is the development of systems for rewarding and retaining employees. The second challenge would be to transform the management teams into corporate leaders. The third challenge will be to develop a culture of training as a way of increasing the professionalism levels of employees (Switser 1997). The challenges will affect the system of human resource management in the next 10 years in the sense that organizations will face the challenge of making the right discretions which may affect the overall performance. Lack of a culture that trains and retains employees may negatively affect the levels of experience of the management teams which many workers to have unity (Bock 1995). Another good topic was the unresolved bargaining; this particular topic gives both the workers and stakeholders an opportunity to agree on some things regarding the growth of the organizations. It also equips the workers who are bargainers an opportunity to fight for their rites. Finally e learning was also an interesting topic which can be said to the key technology behind the much successful organization. This training provides employees an essential training that leads to skill gaining at the respective roles. In return both the organization and the worker benefits through good improved manpower skills for the company leading to beneficial production level all the way to job promotional activities for the employer.
