Depending on the situation, Martins made an appropriate decision to sell out “Bloomin Lollipops” business. Dot and Jiggs had become old and the business had rapidly expanded and they could not manage to continue working due to their age. Therefore, it was advantageous for them to sell out the business and retiring. Reasons why incorporating the business as C Corporation was better than incorporating it as S corporations Martin’s made a wise decision to incorporate their business as C Corporation rather than S Corporation. Being C Corporation gave Martin's the capacity to run the”Bloomin Lollipops” on its own thereby safeguarding its existence in the case of a lawsuit. This is because; the program was more of a strategy to offset the customer's perception about the high prices set for the company's products.
