Racism and Negative Stereotype Concerning the African American

They are aggressive in the fight for anti-racism society. They go through various oppressive treatments hence the aggressiveness. Black men are feared. A negative stereotype that has been for long. That black men are mostly criminals. The town is of the high-end wealthy society with a population dominated by the Caucasian community. That marginalization is the reason why Donald Trump perceived blacks as poor and miserable (Slaughter-Defoe, Diana, 76). To make matters worse it has been observed that schools within these poor cities of the black-dominated population are underfunded compared to schools with more Caucasian dominance. According to RT News and a research conducted by David Mosenkins county governments findings in school is determined by the dominant race in the school. School districts with a higher white population receive more funding compared to those with a colored population.

They are believed to be like their ancestors stronger and faster compared to their lighter counterparts. Why is there such discrimination? According to social psychology, discrimination is a way of justifying the social inequalities; they deserve what they are getting. For example, the black oppression could be a way of the oppressors to say that the origin of the African American was through slavery, they deserve to be second to the Caucasian as it were in the beginning. Also, perhaps police brutality sends a message that the police do not trust the African American because most of them are known to be crooks; severely the same people have been arrested repeatedly; they deserve the punishment even without evidence against them. Another social psychology explanation of discrimination is the in-group out-group phenomenon.
