The Affordable Care Act enabled most people with pre-existing chronic illnesses to also take cover without discrimination by the insurance providers. Apart from through the Act, 11 million people; part D have benefited big time. Although currently, our healthcare system is in somehow effective, there are a number of challenges and at the same time opportunities that the healthcare systems will face in future. The main challenges that the healthcare system will encounter are the costly nature of running and maintaining the system. The rising costs of new technologies used and at the same time, new costly drug prescriptions might be some of the catalysts of the costly nature of the future healthcare. In addition, researches by numerous specialists will help bring solutions to current and future problems and also assist in the coordinated treatment of patients who would be receiving treatment in different hospitals of doctors.
